Markets traded cautiously on Tuesday as a stronger US dollar and rising Treasury yields weighed on precious metals, cryptocurrencies, and major currency pairs ahead of the release of the Federal Reserve’s meeting minutes.
Gold slipped after filling Monday’s price gap, with the $4,000 level continuing to act as key support. Analysts warned that a potential death cross between the 50-day and 200-day moving averages could signal further weakness, although the market remains largely range-bound.
Silver also declined after filling its Monday gap, remaining below the $60 level. Support is seen near $57, while resistance stands around the 200-day EMA at $67.08, with the stronger US dollar continuing to pressure prices.
In the currency market, AUD/USD retreated to around 0.6925 as risk appetite weakened ahead of the Fed minutes. Analysts see support at 0.6850, while a move above 0.7000 would improve the technical outlook.
EUR/USD eased to around 1.1420, with a bearish flag pattern pointing to a potential decline toward 1.1325. Investors are awaiting the Fed minutes and upcoming comments from policymakers for clues on future interest rate decisions.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin traded near $63,800 after failing to break above its 50-day EMA. Traders continue to monitor geopolitical tensions, a stronger US dollar, and institutional flows, with $60,000 remaining the key downside support level.
