Kraken has launched CFTC-regulated crypto perpetual futures for eligible US traders, bringing one of the most popular crypto derivatives products onshore through a regulated platform.

The launch follows Kraken’s acquisition of Bitnomial, a US derivatives exchange holding the licenses needed to offer regulated crypto futures. Perpetual futures generated more than $60 trillion in trading volume in 2025, highlighting their dominance in crypto markets.

Available on Kraken Pro, the new offering includes 16 perpetual contracts covering major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Cardano, Dogecoin, and Litecoin. Traders can access spot, margin, CME-listed futures, and perpetual futures through a single interface.

Kraken said the move expands regulated derivatives access in the US, where crypto perpetual trading has largely been concentrated on offshore platforms.
