Kraken has integrated its over-the-counter (OTC) trading desk with ICE Chat, letting institutional traders access crypto spot and options directly through the popular messaging platform.

The move puts Kraken’s liquidity inside a tool already used by over 120,000 trading desks across major financial centers. Traders can now message Kraken’s team within ICE Chat to discuss and execute OTC crypto trades without leaving their existing workflow.

“ICE Chat was built for traders, with features like AI-powered Smart Text Recognition turning messages into actionable data,” said Maurisa Baumann, ICE’s Head of Global Data Delivery Platforms. “Firms using Kraken get always-on connectivity in a compliant environment.”

Kraken plans to expand the integration further, signaling deeper ties between crypto and traditional finance. The exchange has been pushing into institutional markets—its backed xStocks platform recently launched on Deutsche Börse’s 360X, offering tokenized equities to institutional clients.

Meanwhile, ICE is also partnering with Polymarket to deliver prediction market data and analytics to professional investors, with ICE acting as exclusive distributor for institutional markets.
