Oil prices surged on Tuesday after fresh strikes between Israel and Iran crushed optimism that the war might end soon.
Brent crude climbed nearly 1.8% to $101.7 a barrel, while US benchmark WTI jumped 2.8% to $90.6.

Just a day earlier, prices had plunged after former President Trump claimed “productive conversations” with Iran and paused military strikes. But Iran denied any dialogue, and overnight missile exchanges between Iran, Israel, and strikes on Lebanon confirmed the conflict is far from over.
Markets remain on edge as investors weigh the fragile hope of future talks against the reality of ongoing attacks.
