U.S. stock futures slipped Thursday as doubts over President Trump’s ability to end the war with Iran rattled investors.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures hugged the flatline. S&P 500 futures fell 0.5%, and Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 0.6%.
The decline follows the House of Representatives voting Wednesday evening to end the war — a rebuke to the president after the most serious U.S.-Iran escalation since an April ceasefire.
Oil prices initially jumped but later eased after Israel and Lebanon agreed to a ceasefire, according to Bloomberg. West Texas Intermediate fell toward $95 a barrel.
