Vantage Launches 24/7 Gold CFD Amid Weekend Trading Push

Vantage has launched a 24/7 gold CFD, allowing eligible clients to trade XAUUSD around the clock as brokers increasingly expand weekend trading.

Vantage Markets has launched XAUUSD247, a 24/7 gold CFD that allows eligible clients to trade gold every day of the week, including weekends, as competition among brokers for round-the-clock trading intensifies.

The new product features a one-ounce contract size, significantly smaller than the broker’s standard 100-ounce gold CFD, and offers leverage of up to 100:1, depending on account type and trading conditions. Standard spreads and overnight financing charges apply, while no separate trading commission is charged.

To manage risk, Vantage has introduced account-level exposure limits. Once those limits are reached, accounts automatically switch to close-only mode until exposure falls below the threshold.

The launch follows a broader industry trend toward weekend trading. CMC Markets introduced a weekend gold CFD in April, while liquidity providers including Scope Prime and Match-Prime have also rolled out 24/7 trading solutions for brokers.

Vantage noted that XAUUSD247 is an over-the-counter (OTC) CFD, distinguishing it from CME Group’s regulated 24-hour gold futures, which are scheduled to launch on July 26. Unlike exchange-traded futures, the CFD is priced directly by the broker and is subject to thinner weekend liquidity.

The broker, which has operated for more than 17 years, continues to expand its trading offering across forex, commodities, indices, shares, ETFs, and bonds.
