In March, the company sold 3,157 cars in France, a 36.8% decline from last year, and 911 in Sweden, down 63.9%. The decline is attributed to several factors, including Tesla’s aging vehicle lineup and increased competition from both traditional automakers and new Chinese entrants offering more affordable electric models. Additionally, Elon Musk’s political stance has sparked controversy. His support for far-right parties in Europe, such as Germany’s AfD, has reportedly alienated some customers, leading to protests, vandalism, and boycott calls in several countries.

Meanwhile, Musk claimed that a recent fire at a Tesla dealership in Rome, which destroyed 17 vehicles, was an act of terrorism, echoing similar statements made by former U.S. President Donald Trump.
