Asian markets fall ahead of Nvidia earnings

Asian shares fell on Wednesday as investors turned cautious ahead of a critical profit report from chipmaker Nvidia.

Japan’s Nikkei 225 slipped 0.3%, while South Korea’s Kospi lost 0.6%. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng also dropped 0.3%.

The focus is squarely on Nvidia, a bellwether for AI stocks. Its shares have fallen over 10% this month, helping drag down major U.S. indexes on Tuesday. The S&P 500 fell 0.8% and the Nasdaq sank 1.2%.

A recent survey shows 45% of fund managers see an AI bubble as the top market risk. Nvidia’s results, due later today, will be a major test for the tech-driven rally.
