OANDA, one of the largest multi-asset retail brokerages, has hired Jessica Beckstead as Managing Director for North America and Chief Executive Officer for the United States.
Prior to taking up her new position, Jessica was Managing Director of FXCM, Head of Global Sales & Accounts, and General Manager for Australia.
Beckstead has worked at FXCM for over 18 years after joining the forex broker in October 2004 as Vice President of Forex Sales in New York.
“Beckstead will be accountable for driving the continued success of the firm’s growth throughout the US and Canada; she will be based in New York,” OANDA said in a statement released on Monday.
OANDA CEO Gavin Bambury called Beckstead an excellent choice to expand the retail brokerage business in America.

In addition, Beckstead believes that her years of experience in developing and scaling retail brokerages will be very useful in her new role.
Since the beginning of 2022, OANDA has made a number of personnel changes across its global business teams.
In July, the brokerage appointed Philip Waters as Head of the Asia Pacific and Emerging Markets.
In addition, OANDA has promoted Mark Chesterman, who joined the firm in November 2019, to chief risk officer.
Also in February, the global company appointed Michael Aagaard, longtime CEO of Saxo Bank, to lead its forex trading business.
OANDA said it has hired Aagaard, who has over 20 years of experience in the industry, to help expand its forex business.
