Plus500 has released its 2022 preliminary results, announcing a $100 million payout to investors in final and special share buybacks and dividends.
On Tuesday, Plus500, a global fintech company that provides online CFD trading services, announced a new final $42.4 million share buyback program and a special $27.6 million buyback program. The company will pay a final annual dividend of $20 million to shareholders at $0.2156 per share and a $10 million special dividend at $0.1078 per share to be distributed in July.
Payout news broke as the company received $453.8 million in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization for 2022, up 17 percent from 2021. The company’s revenue also increased 16 percent to $832.6 million.

Plus500’s latest buyout and dividend announcement resulted in the company’s 2022 total shareholder return of $270.2 million, 73 percent of net income for the financial period. The broker completed a $60.2 million buyback program and a $50 million special buyback program.
Plus500 is one of the few publicly listed retail brokerages. The price of the company’s shares, listed in London, rose by more than 1.2% after the announcement of the buyback and the payment of dividends.
