A key privacy upgrade enhances the NetShield Ad-blocker to now block nearly all known phishing websites, providing stronger protection against online scams. In a move to defeat censorship, iPhone and iPad users can now use the VPN instantly without creating an account via a new “Continue as guest” option. The service has also expanded its global server network to new locations like Cuba, Guatemala, and Mongolia.

For improved productivity, the popular split tunneling feature, which lets users choose which apps use the VPN, is now available on macOS and Linux. The company has also rolled out major speed improvements, ensuring faster page loads and better battery life for mobile users.
On the convenience front, Proton VPN now offers better support for streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and F1 TV from abroad. New payment options include Apple Pay and additional cryptocurrencies like Monero. The Android TV app also now includes the NetShield Ad-blocker for a cleaner, ad-free viewing experience.
The company confirmed that more updates, including interface improvements for macOS and Linux, are planned for the coming months.
