Proton VPN has successfully passed its fourth consecutive annual independent audit, reaffirming its commitment to a strict no-logs policy. The audit was conducted by the European security firm Securitum.
This verification is critical because while many VPNs claim not to track user activity, Proton’s claims are now backed by repeated external review. The audit examined Proton’s server infrastructure to ensure no user data—including browsing history, connection timestamps, or IP addresses—is recorded.

The findings confirm that Proton VPN’s systems are configured to protect user privacy by design. The report concluded that the service “fully complies with the privacy commitments outlined in its No-Logs policy.”
This marks the latest in a series of audits for Proton, which also makes its app code open source for public scrutiny.
