OANDA, a popular online multi-asset retail marketplace, has added Cryptocurrency trading to its platform for users in the United States.
The ability to trade Cryptocurrencies was made in conjunction with Paxos, a regulated blockchain infrastructure company.
OANDA said the change would allow U.S. customers to trade spot Cryptocurrency on the Paxos’itBit exchange from the OANDA mobile app.
The CEO of OANDA North America said that the decision to add Crypto access to the OANDA Forex trading platform was made in response to the needs of active traders, and enabling them to trade according to their personal style is critical.
The introduction of Crypto comes almost a month after the Canadian-based broker announced its partnership with Paxos to develop an ecosystem for Cryptocurrency trading.

The company said it has added a Cryptocurrency trading feature to its platform to provide investors with easy access to coins alongside their existing Forex portfolios in a secure environment.
Everything from opening a Paxos account to financing and trading is managed in the app, so investors can seamlessly access major Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and PAX Gold against the US dollar.
In addition, OANDA said it would introduce a new corporate identity this week, and the broker’s new logo has already been featured on its website.
OANDA, which also offers currency data and analytics services, also said the move proves its commitment to enabling smarter trading for its clients.
OANDA CEO Gavin Bambery noted that the number of Americans seeking access to Cryptocurrencies continues to grow, creating a need to create a unified trading experience for active traders by including Cryptocurrencies in their portfolios.
